The U.S. Postal Service (USPS) has implemented new rates for domestic and international mail classes as well as its pecial Services on January 22, 2017. Learn more about these changes and how they may impact your mailing and shipping. Here are 2017 USPS Postage Rates for USPS Retail Ground.

USPS Retail Ground is a low-cost ground service for less-than-urgent deliveries and oversized packages. Distance, weight and dimensions of the mailpiece determine the price. This mail class offers U.S. delivery within two to eight days, depending on the destination. The maximum allowable package weight for USPS Retail Ground packages is 70 pounds.

3.8% Average Rate Increase
USPS Retail Ground rates will start at $6.65 (same as a 1 lb. retail Priority Mail package going to Zones 1 and 2).
Restrictions
You can only buy USPS Retail Ground at the Post Office.

WHEN TO USE
Use USPS Retail Ground if your shipment is ineligible for Media Mail, low shipping rates are more important than speed, and your package weighs over 10 pounds.
