New Zealand Post provide different postal options to ensure that your item gets where it’s going quickly and securely.
2018 New Zealand Post – Letters Postage Rates (Domestic)
A letter includes postcards or small items that can fit into an envelope.

- Weight: 1 kg
- Thickness: 20 mm
- Height: 260 mm

- Standard Post delivery target is up to 3 working days nationwide delivery.
- Delivery to and from rural or remote areas may take longer. Delivery targets are a guide only and we do not guarantee your item will reach its destination within the delivery target.
2018 New Zealand Post – Parcels Postage Rates (Domestic)
A parcel is any item that is too large to be sent as a letter.
Maximum size for Parcels:
- Length: 1.5 m
- Weight: 25 kg
- Volume: 0.125 m³
Note: Volume is calculated by height (m) × length (m) × thickness (m).

2018 New Zealand Post – Parcels Postage Rates (International)
A parcel or merchandise is an item that is larger or heavier than a letter but lighter than 30 kg.
Items heavier than 30 kg are considered freight. If your item is heavier than 30 kg please phone 0800 SEND IT (0800 736 348) to discuss international freight options.
